SEO, AEO and Google Business Profile
(WHAT IT IS)
Southern Exposure Media Group (SXMG) helps businesses in Atlanta and North Georgia show up in three places: Google Search, Google Maps and the answers AI assistants give. We handle the technical SEO, add structured data, write guides that answer the questions people ask, and keep the Google Business Profile current.
The work starts with an audit of your site, your Business Profile and your listings, and it does not matter who built the site.

(SEARCH AND AI ANSWERS)
How search engines and AI assistants find a business
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the work of earning a place in Google's results and on Google Maps. Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the work of making a business easy for AI assistants, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews, to find, understand and describe correctly.
Both start with the same facts: the name, address, phone, hours and story on the site, the Business Profile and the listings, written so a person or a machine can read them. We put those facts in order, mark them up with structured data, publish an llms.txt file that sums up the business, and write guides that answer a question in the first sentence.

Sliced Pizza
Hoschton, Georgia
We built search into the new site from September to November 2026: a unique title, description and canonical tag on every page, restaurant structured data with the hours and menu link, and alt text that names each dish.
We have also run SEO for S&S Rug Cleaners since September 2024, with rug care guides, full site audits in September and October 2026, and listing management. For Phoenix Parking Solutions USA we have run SEO and AI search work since June 2026: an llms.txt file, an FAQ page with structured data, Bing and other search engines told about new and changed pages on every update, and titles and headings rewritten from Search Console data in October 2026. And we have run Penny Patrol's SEO since September 2024, with a full audit of its new site on October 1, 2026 and the first fixes live on October 6.

(QUESTIONS)
Questions about SEO, AEO and Business Profiles
Does SEO work for restaurants?
Yes, because people look for a restaurant by dish, neighborhood and occasion, and Southern Exposure Media Group builds pages for those searches. CHR Steak's guides answer questions such as where to go for date night in downtown Gainesville and how Wagyu compares with Prime, and the new topics on Frazie's Meat & Market's Butcher Blog come from the searches that already bring people to its site. The Business Profile matters just as much, because it is what shows up on the map, so we keep the hours, holiday closures, photos and description current.
What if we do not know our logins, or whether we ever set up a Google Business Profile?
That is fine: SXMG sorts out access with you on a call, and our intake questionnaire lets you write "not sure" next to anything you do not know. We have taken over profiles that someone else set up: CTR Food Works' Business Profile came to us in June 2026 and Nan Thai Buckhead's in October 2026, and we got Oculare's profile verified by November 2, 2026.
Do we get a written plan of blog topics and target keywords?
Yes: when SEO is part of the work, Southern Exposure Media Group writes the plan down, with the topics, the target keywords and the page each question belongs to. CTR Food Works' blog plan was built from keyword ranking data in August 2026, and Frazie's Meat & Market's 2026 plan was rebuilt from its own Search Console data in September 2026. Page changes go the same way: Phoenix Parking Solutions USA got a written report of new titles and headings in October 2026 and approved it before anything went live.
(RELATED SERVICES)
Services that go with SEO and AEO
- Website design and developmentEvery site we build launches with titles, descriptions, structured data, a sitemap and an llms.txt file in place, so the SEO work starts on solid ground.
- Website migrationA migration is where the SEO work starts: permanent redirects keep old addresses working on the new site, so people and search engines that follow an old link land on the right page.
- Google Ads managementGoogle Ads and SEO answer the same searches. The ads put you at the top of the page, and SEO earns your place in the results below them.
