Social media management

(WHAT IT IS)

Southern Exposure Media Group (SXMG) manages social media for businesses in Atlanta and North Georgia, many of them restaurants and food halls. One team plans your content, photographs and films it at your place, edits it into reels and carousels, writes the captions and posts it, and you approve each piece before it goes out.

We post on Instagram and Facebook. Across our production boards, the median time from the start of production to a finished piece is 6.3 days, and 7.1 days for a reel (September 2024 to November 2026, Southern Exposure Media Group production records).

(HOW WE WORK ON IT)

How a month of social media comes together

  1. 01.

    Plan

A questionnaire about your goals, your guests and what is coming up, then a shoot plan for the month ahead.

  2. 02.

    Shot list and shoot

We go over the shot list with you, then our team takes the photos and video on site.

  3. 03.

    Edit and approve

Every piece moves across a shared production board: idea, footage, editing, review, approval and posting. Your marketing lead can work on the same board, and nothing goes out until it is approved.

  4. 04.

    Post

We schedule each piece and publish it on the agreed day.

  5. 05.

    Report

You get a report built from the platforms' own numbers.

(RESTAURANTS AND EVENTS)

Social media for restaurants, food halls and their events

People follow a restaurant to see the food and to find out what is on this week. We shoot the dishes and drinks, the room and the team, and every caption names the dish the way the menu does. In a food hall, every kitchen needs to be seen: at Chattahoochee Food Works each kitchen has a highlighted dish, and short reels show guests how to find each counter inside the hall.

Events get their own posts. We promote weekly nights, seasonal pop-ups, game days, holidays and ticketed dinners. From June to October 2026 we put CHR Steak's ticketed songwriter nights and wine dinners on its website and promoted them, along with First Friday on the downtown square in Gainesville. At CTR Food Works we publish the hall's own game day, concert and convention posts on schedule.

(THE WORK)

Social media work we can show

We have also managed social media for Southern Belle since May 2025 and for its sister restaurant, Georgia Boy, since June 2025. We ran it for Yacht Water from June 2024 to April 2025 and again from January to June 2026, and for S&S Rug Cleaners from September 2024 to April 2026.

(PLATFORMS)

The platforms we post on

We plan, post and report on Instagram and Facebook, stories included.

  • Instagram
  • Facebook

(WHO IT IS FOR)

Who we manage social media for

We manage social media for restaurants and food halls, a butcher shop and market, and an eye care practice. We have also managed it for spirits and beverage brands and a rug cleaning company.

(QUESTIONS)

Questions about social media management

Can we see the work before it goes out?

Yes, every piece Southern Exposure Media Group makes sits on a production board you can see, from the first idea to the approved edit, and nothing is published until it is approved. At Chattahoochee Food Works and CTR Food Works, each hall's marketing lead works on the same board and moves finished pieces to approved.

Do we have to start every service at once?

No, Southern Exposure Media Group can start with one service and add others when you are ready. Chattahoochee Food Works started with social media and photography in March 2025 and added Google Ads in December 2025, and in August 2026 we started work on its new website.
