Email and print
Email and print
(WHAT IT IS)
Southern Exposure Media Group (SXMG) writes, designs and sends email newsletters for businesses in Atlanta and North Georgia, and designs the printed pieces that go with them. When a restaurant takes bookings in OpenTable or orders in Toast, its newsletter goes out from there, so it reaches the guests who booked a table or placed an order.
For print, we design menus, signs with QR codes, sell sheets, postcards, billboards and magazine ads, and hand over files ready for your printer.

(RESTAURANT NEWSLETTERS)
Restaurant newsletters sent from OpenTable and Toast
A restaurant that takes reservations or orders online already has the list that matters most: the guests who booked a table or placed an order. Where it has that list, we write and send its newsletters inside the same system, OpenTable for reservations and Toast for orders, so there is no second list to keep up.
CHR Steak's newsletters go out from OpenTable and open with a note from the owner and executive chef. Frazie's Meat & Market's go out from the shop's Toast account, open with a note from the owner and close with the newest post on the shop's blog. When Nan Thai Buckhead's newsletter moved to OpenTable in August 2026, we moved its guest list over with it.
(EVENTS AND PROMOTIONS)
Promoting events in email and print
When a restaurant or a brand has something on the calendar, the newsletter announces it and the printed pieces go out with it. From June to October 2026 we promoted CHR Steak's ticketed events, among them songwriter nights and wine dinners, along with First Friday on the downtown square in Gainesville.
For Pedro Furtivo Tequila we designed the invitation and the cocktail menu for the January 2025 premiere of the brand's film, along with flyers for dinners and tastings at partner venues. And from July to September 2026 we set up Nan Thai Buckhead's private dining and promotions in OpenTable.
(THE WORK)
Email and print work we can show
CHR Steak
Gainesville, Georgia
Newsletters sent from OpenTable since July 2026, each opening with a note from the owner and executive chef and announcing what is coming up. We also designed the steakhouse's Upper Westside Atlanta Magazine ad in October 2026.
Frazie's Meat & Market
Riverside, Atlanta
Newsletters sent from the shop's Toast account since September 2025, opening with a note from the owner and closing with the newest blog post, and since July 2026 a monthly email asking recent customers for a Google review. From May 2024 to December 2025 we designed its catering menus, loyalty program signs with a QR code and a half-page ad in the first issue of Upper Westside Atlanta Magazine.
Nan Thai Buckhead
Buckhead, Atlanta
Newsletters since October 2025, sent from OpenTable since August 2026. From April to October 2026 we designed a Mother's Day menu, a World Cup menu, a lunch specials sign and lunch menus, and from July to September 2026 we set up the restaurant's private dining and promotions in OpenTable.
Oculare
Atlanta, Georgia
Print in October 2026: signs with QR codes that invite patients to leave a Google review or follow the practice on Instagram, and a flyer introducing the practice to the other tenants in its building.
Pedro Furtivo Tequila
Atlanta and Jalisco, Mexico
Print and design from October 2024 to June 2026, among them an Añejo sell sheet and shelf talker, the invitation and cocktail menu for the premiere of the brand's film, event flyers and a promotional tee. From March to August 2025 we also supplied press material, including tasting notes for the Añejo.
Sneaky Pete Spirits
Atlanta, Georgia
Print and design for Pedro Furtivo and Yacht Water from October 2024 to June 2026, including sell sheets, table tents, signs and merch artwork such as the company's fox tote bag. In February and March 2025 we also helped set up the store's email sign-up with the age rules in mind.
We have also written the newsletter Southern Belle and Georgia Boy share since June 2025, with an automatic resend to people who did not open it, and in July 2025 we designed printed handouts for Southern Belle with a QR code for reservations. We designed direct mail postcards for S&S Rug Cleaners from March to June 2026, billboard designs and a magazine page for Penny Patrol in September and October 2026, and sell sheets, case cards, an influencer postcard and event banners for Yacht Water from November 2024 to April 2026.

- OpenTable
- Toast

Who we make newsletters and print for
Restaurants, a butcher shop and market, spirits and beverage brands, an eye care practice, a rug cleaning company and a bookkeeping firm all have newsletters or printed pieces we made.
(QUESTIONS)
Questions about email marketing and print
What is included in an email campaign, from writing to sending?
Southern Exposure Media Group handles every step: the plan, the writing, the design with photos from our shoots, a test send for your approval, and the send itself from your own OpenTable, Toast or Mailchimp account. Where the platform allows it, a second send goes to people who did not open the first, as it does for the newsletter Southern Belle and Georgia Boy share.
Is email marketing good for restaurants?
Yes, because a newsletter reaches guests who already know the restaurant, and where the restaurant has a reservation or ordering system, SXMG sends it from there, so it goes to the people who booked or ordered. CHR Steak and Nan Thai Buckhead send theirs from OpenTable, and Frazie's Meat & Market from its Toast account. Each issue tells guests what is new: a menu, an event, a holiday or a new post on the blog.
Can one monthly report show website visits, calls, catering inquiries and email results together?
Yes, Southern Exposure Media Group builds one monthly report around the measures each business asks for, such as website visits, search terms, calls, catering inquiries, email results and top social posts, and every figure in it comes from the platform that owns it.
